New Moon Filiming Begins Monday

According to JustJared Jr Jackson Rathbone dished to paparazzi that filming begins on Monday.

As as the cast was leaving, Jackson, 24, revealed to paparazzi that filming for New Moon will be starting earlier than anticipated. He shared, “[Rehearsals] They’re going great, they’re going great. We’re actually going to start filming on Monday, so be sure to check it out.”

Nikki Reed Proud for Taylor Lautner

Nikki Reed talks to People.com about how she is “So proud” of Taylor.

“I’m so proud of him,” she tells PEOPLE. “He didn’t have the part.”

Lautner, who portrayed Jacob in Twilight, had to audition to keep his role in New Moon because the character undergoes a drastic physical transformation and becomes a hulking werewolf.

Everybody knew he was going to have to fight for this,” says Reed, 20, who plays vampire Rosalie Hale. “He was at the gym twice or three times a day. He was on a nutrition and workout regime for the last year not knowing if he would be in this film.

“We were all on edge,” Reed says about waiting to hear if Lautner had been cast again as Jacob. “It got closer and closer, and it was heartbreaking. Kristen [Stewart] and I were in Africa when we got the call saying he got the part. She’s so stoked.”

Location Suggestions for New Moon

The Vancouver Sun has suggested some great locations for New Moon in a recent article.

“Producers are revealing nothing of their plans for shooting the Twilight sequel New Moon. But they are here in Vancouver and they are shooting, under a fake name no less.

The reasons for the high security are obvious. Crowd control.

The producers aren’t talking, but we aren’t hurt (well, maybe a little). But in the spirit of Canadian politeness and good business we’d like to offer the producers our suggestions for great backdrops for their bloody tale of chaste vampire love.”

‘Eclipse’ Director update

No Confirmed Director for Eclipse

I’m sure that some of you have already read the article about Summit Entertainment confirming the director for Eclipse- but this story is false. LA Times has proved that Summit Entertainment has not yet chosen a director for the second sequel.

“I hate to be the skunk at the picnic, but Summit Entertainment has not — I repeat NOT– hired “Orphanage” director Juan Antonio Bayona to direct “Eclipse,” the third film in the wildly successful “Twilight” series.

By sheer coincidence, I had lunch today with Erik Feig, who’s president of production at Summit and the man most involved with managing the hit series of films. (“New Moon,” the second film in the series, begins production later this month with Chris Weitz at the helm.)
Feig was shocked to see the media reports saying Summit had hired Bayona, since — ahem — they’re not true. “The ‘Eclipse’ directing job hasn’t been offered to Juan Antonio or anyone else,” he told me. “We’ve met with three or four talented filmmakers and we’ll be meeting with three or four more other candidates before we make any decision. No one has been offered the job.”

Taylor Lautner Tells Rob Pattinson Fans: “Don’t Hate On Me Too Much”

Taylor Lautner, aka Jacob Black, has a suggestion. “I’m telling fans to go see New Moon at least one more time than you saw Twilight and all will be good,” Lautner just told me when I called in to chat with him during Walmart’s Twilight special on BlogTalkRadio.

“I’m getting a little nervous,” Lautner admitted. “But I’m so thankful for the fans and even those Robert Pattinson/Edward fans. I know we wouldn’t…be here filming New Moon and [then] filming Eclipse if it wasn’t for them.”

But he had a message to Team Robert: “Don’t hate on me too much. I love you, guys.”

Robert Pattinson Didn’t Think His Body Was Cut Out For Twilight

Even heartthrobs get performance anxiety. Twilight’s Robert Pattinson revealed he nearly didn’t even audition for the part of Edward Cullen after reading the book since he felt he didn’t have the body for the role.
I read the book and I thought, well, there is no point in going in,” he told entertainmentwise.com. “And I thought, I’m not going to go to the gym for one thing and so I’m already ruled out because he’s meant to have an amazing body too.”
But after getting the part, Pattinson decided to buckle down and build some muscle.
I did it for the movie in the end. I did it for a different reason,” he said, explaining his reasons for getting fit. “I didn’t just want to have a six pack. I wanted to have no fat at all.”
Based on the screaming girls and box office numbers, he clearly achieved his goal and then some. Article HERE

No Sam for Soloman

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

“My agent heard from Summit Entertainment today that I will not be reprising the role of Sam in “New Moon.” While I will cherish the experience of being involved in the first film, I am looking forward to many new opportunities in the future and would like to thank everyone for their support.”

This was posted on Solomon Trimble’s official Myspace.

We thank Solomon Trimble for his excellent work as Sam in Twilight and hope he continues to succeed.
